bird species are found only during cooler months.

Breeding Bird Census (BBC)
|
$525
|
|
Enjoy a guided bird tour of your property
with a professional, expert birder. The BBC is conducted
on the property during the breeding season -
approximately mid-March through early-June. The
birder will begin the survey at sunrise for the "morning
chorus" and is to be completed before 11:00 a.m. A
map of the property is provided, indicating the property
boundaries and census stations. Each station is
accompanied by a description of the existing habitat
present. Unless property boundaries or
accessibility changes, an annual survey using the same
stations will be used in all subsequent years. The
birder will identify bird species by both sound & sight.
Landowners are encouraged to accompany the birder for
the educational and recreation value afforded by the
birding experience. |

Daylight Wildlife Counts
|
$575 each -OR-
$1,700 for 4 counts conducted
seasonally (1 per season)
|
|
This census is a great way to
create a checklist of all the animals using your
property. All efforts are made to identify any animals
or animal sign encountered on the property while
surveying a series of stations and traveling between
stations. This census may be done any time of the
year. You will receive a report that lists the
kinds and numbers of animals seen at each station and
the habitat that was present at each station. We will
attempt to make note of all mammals, birds, reptiles,
butterflies, and any other common insects. To get a
complete picture of the kinds and amounts of animals
utilizing your property the count should be done once a
season. However, only 1 count per year is required for
this survey to count as a wildlife practice.
